When you pick up your rental car, please ensure you have the following:
- A valid passport or national ID card
- A valid driving license
All drivers must be 25 years or older.
To legally drive in Samoa, you must obtain a temporary driving license. We are pleased to offer you a temporary driving license for a fee of WST 21, payable in cash. Each driver requires their own license.
Security Policy
The bond must be fully paid to secure your bookings. A standard WST 1000 bond is charged to all vehicles.
The bond is fully refundable if the car is returned in the same condition as when it was delivered. However, if the vehicle fails to comply with our Rental Agreement, a refund will not be issued.
Refunds take seven (7) to ten (10) consecutive business days to be completed successfully.
Insurance coverage
Motu Car Rentals will provide liability insurance coverage for personal injury and property damage claims by a third party if you are involved in an accident, as required by Samoa law. Motu Car Rentals will cover every driver that is in compliance with our Rental Agreement. Motu Car Rentals customers receive liability coverage of (WST 50000 personal injury maximum) and are responsible for the first WST 1000 damage. For more information, please read our Rental Agreement.
